I saw you look at me and knew
This was the moment I sought,
And sought in vain – yes, it was true
That love could happen swift as thought,
I didn’t know your name.
I saw your eyes look into mine,
My heart was beating, did you know?
We paused through centuries of time,
But there was nothing now to show
We’d loved in other lives.
Something flashed from me to you
You were trembling, so was I.
We didn’t speak and yet we knew
That everything we felt was true
Because our eyes met again.
